Yes, this is how we spell culture in CA. In many ways we have dedicated 2012 to entrench and cultivate the CA’lture amont us.

We CA’tizens salute and honour our CA’lture:

We recognize first and foremost that Chur Associates® is a TEAM. There is no super hero amongst us, everyone is a leader in what each and every one of us does best. Setting aside the personal differences, we trust each other in our delivery of any promises given with the best interest of CA at heart. We CAtizen, we trust each other completely. Like a family we don’t choose each other but love each other unconditionally no matter what happened. Trust is the foundation of what CA is all about.

The ultimate DNA for our function as a team is the TRANSPARENT operation within CA. Being brutally honest and direct are our ways of stamping out any internal groupings and favouritism. Being transparent also permits us with better communication and empowered switching of roles with ease. Externally, the same principle has also allowed all our stakeholders to be properly educated on what’s happening that in turn permits ownership of the issues and the Firm as well as propelling an efficient client’s expectation management.

Our positive attitude in HARDLY TAKE NO AS AN ANSWER is now part of CA’s brand-marks. We understand that “NO” is most often abused and use in convenience. We will always use a little extra thoughtfulness in dealing with the “NO” and keep asking for a different answer that led closer to our objective. By the same token, we also hardly give “NO” as an answer as we believe no is never an answer.

We are APPROACHABLE, we understand that we are essentially dealing with humans that require a lot of compassions and sensibilities. At the end of any issues, there is always another person. Keep the door open and believe that the best of human nature shall always prevail. We have an environment in CA that encourages nothing but possibilities.

Most importantly, we are ACCOUNTABLE to each other as a team player. We don’t pass the bug around as we are a firm believer that everything stops with ME! Never fail to take on ownership has made us more resourceful to think out of the box within what’s possible.

The way we “dance” with the issue at hand to achieve a solution feasible to our clients is a testament that it is in the DNA of every CAtizen to be FLEXIBLE and grow bigger than the challenge before us. We are guided by our objective and ready to change ourselves to meet the end so desired.

Taking the ownership of task, we are PROACTIVE in our conduct. We choose to be a Messiah for every piece of information before us; and not just a mere Messenger that add no value to our clients’ course. We are always just that little observance and a little more thoughtful on our own accord to make that difference that by nature expected of us every single time.

We are passionately driven as it is in our nature to be SOLUTION CENTERED. We painlessly identify our client’s destination and drive our client from ‘A’ to ‘B’! We guide them, we give them options and most importantly, we are there with them!

“Chur Academy” continues…

For the month of September, CAtizens take on Coach Nick at Malaysia Airlines Academy and explored the methods of “Problem Solving and Decision Making Workshop”:

Problem Solving and Decision Making Workshop

In the words of Coach Nick:

“At the heart of every organisation and business, problems will inherently and inevitably occur within an organisation which would facilitate the people within to act on them in a decisive and timely fashion to ensure the continuity of business. Chur Associates is no exception.

In our last training session, we looked at the need for innovative thinking which is at the heart of what CA is all about and we saw that during the training at the MAS Academy. An organisation always needs to re-invent itself and it starts from looking within which we have done for the whole year by understanding your Wholebrain personality, we have extended that look into your personality from the perspective of working in team, communication, conflict management and how to coach & mentor your team.

Problem solving is an ongoing process of searching within yourself and working with others to resolve them, it takes the collective use of your Wholebrain personality preferences to better facilitate the problem-solving process. The activities that we ran and the methods I have shared with you will assist you in looking within your own problem-solving capabilities.

I am constantly impressed with the level of teamwork and dynamic problems solving skills exhibited by all the CAtizens during our last training session, I am very proud to be your coach for the year and it has been an immense honour to be able to share my own vast experience with all of you.

Till the next training, cheers!

We wish to inform that our office will be closed on 19 October 2012 for our Firm’s Internal Training Program.

We shall resume business on 22 October 2012.

Rhythm, rhythm, rhythm…

In September, CAtizens discussed and shared a short paragraph on the concept of “Delivering Constructive Criticism”. In the process of sharing, we realized that Constructive Criticism is out of the place in CA as our CA’lture have encourage direct communication amongst us. Therefore there is no such thing as criticism or constructive criticism there is only feedback for CA’tizens. We also acknowledge the importance of taking feedback without taking it personally it is all in the best interest of the services we are delivering.

CA Talentime

We also have two new “CAmbassador”, as we bid farewell to our two Interns No. 25, Jackie and No. 28, Lalitha. We wish you all the best in your future plans and of course, you always have a special place in CA! Go on and spread the good news of CA!
